Christina Vail, Au.D.

Dr. Christina Vail is a native of Towanda, PA. She completed her B.S. degree in Communicaiton Sciences and Disorders from Penn State University. She also received her teaching certificate in Hearing Impairment as part of her degree. She received her master's degree in audiologyh from Syracuse University, and her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and is licensed in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Vail's experience with hearing impairment spans almost 30 years. Her career has included clinical audiology, educational audiology, and teaching Deaf and Hard of hearing students at the pre-school, elementary, and high school levels. She has also been an instructor of sign language at the high school and college levels.
Dr. Vail has been in private practice for the past 17 years. She specializes in the selection, fitting, programming, and modification of state-of-the-art digital hearing technology for people of all ages. Dr. Vail's graduate education, licensure, and extensive experience, combined with her small town roots and values, ensure that her patient's receive the highest quality and most accessible hearing healthcare.
Towanda Area High School, 1981
Doreen Brown is our Office Manager. She is a native of the Towanda area and currently resides there with her husband Ron. She has two daughters Nichole and Kristin. She is a graduate of Towanda Area High School class of 1981. Doreen’s work history includes 10 years as bank teller, loan and bookkeeping experience at two local banks, and 5 years of customer service at two local insurance offices. Doreen has personal experience with hearing loss as her daughters were diagnosed with hearing loss at a young age. Her previous work experience, as well as her personal knowledge of hearing loss and hearing instruments, enabled her to join Vail Hearing Healthcare in July 2001. She is available to assist you 5 days a week with scheduling appointments, billing, or insurance needs, and answer any questions you may have about our services.
Terri Gerrity is our hearing aid technician. She has enjoyed helping people hear better at Vail Hearing Healthcare for the past eight years. She is a Towanda High School graduate and also holds a Cosmetology Manager license and has lived in the area most of her life. She has had numerous work experiences including receptionist, dental assistant, court house tip staff, educational assistant, and hair stylist. She has been trained extensively by Dr. Vail as well as attended a number of hearing instrument technology seminars. She currently holds a PA Hearing Aid Fitters Apprentice License. Not only is she dedicated to the patients she serves, she is also a devoted Mother. She resides in Wysox and has three sons, Skyler who resides in Oregon, Coleton who is in his first year of Pennsylvania Technology in Williamsport, and Logan who is in the ninth grade at Towanda High School. Terri is looking forward to meeting you in the future and will be here to help with any hearing aid problems or concerns. Terri is available 4 days a week to clean, check, and maintain hearing instruments.
Kelly Gannon is our patient communications specialist and receptionist. She began working at Vail Hearing Healthcare in October of 2011 after being a stay at home mother for the past 17 years. She is a native of the Wysox area and currently resides there with her three daughters, Abigayle, who will be entering Kutztown University in the Fall of 2013, Alexandra, a ninth grader at Towanda High School, and Ava a fifth grader at Towanda Elementary School . Kelly is a graduate of Towanda High School Class of 1989 and received a Bachelor of Arts in History from The Pennsylvania State University in 1994. She dedicates most of her time to her children and their various extracurricular activities. She also volunteers her time to Towanda School District, where she is the current President of the PTO, Yearbook Editor for the Elementary schools, and The K-Dette Band Front/ Dance Team Advisor. Kelly is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays to assist you in the front office.

Although we’re smart enough to know that we don’t know everything, we’re dedicated enough to try! In addition we belong to a variety of professional organizations that provide us with a wealth of information.
